Flacq is a district of Mauritius, situated in the east of the island. The capital is Centre de Flacq. It is the largest district, having an area of 298 km², and as of 2000 has a population of 126,839.
This district houses the village of Flacq, which is well known for its market. This market is on most tourist brochures.
There is also the small village of trou d'eau douce, from where visitors take boats for tours on Ile aux cerfs island
BelleMare plage beach, an exotic beach with white sand and nice lagoon attracts a lot of Mauritians and tourists. Leading internationally reputed hotels namely O&O Le Saint Geran, Belle Mare Plage, Le Prince Maurice and others are found on the coastline of the Flacq district.
